Cultural Days

Cultural Days

Funded by Success by Six, and sponsored by the Stewart Public Library, this event has achieved such a high level of success it is continuing after several years of planned activity.

The days the event is held is usually in July or August and present Aboriginal peoples with an opportunity to express pride for their diverse cultures with residents of Stewart, especially with children.

There are educational and learning components designated for children only. Events range from a wide variety of art mediums of creating, cultural teaching, storytelling, and a Community potluck.

Cultural Days is not just event.  This is a way for bringing awareness to the children about Aboriginals and about local organizations and what they have to offer.  The children can go home and share what they’ve learned with their parents, friends and their classrooms.

Look for posters announcing the dates and time of the event.
