Stay informed about municipal issues by reading the local newsletters and visiting the District’s website. Watch for Council and committee meeting agendas as well as notices about upcoming public input opportunities.

Attend Meetings

If possible, attend a District Council meeting with your parents or class to see how local government works in the District of Stewart!  Council meetings are generally held every second and fourth Monday throughout the year. Committee meetings are also open to the public. Check out the Council Meeting Schedule to see when meetings are being held or contact the office at 250-636-2251

Volunteer

Volunteering is about giving your time to help other people or causes. Learn more about the many volunteer opportunities in our community. Volunteering is also a great way to get work experience for future employment.
