Funding Received for the Stewart Wastewater Rehabilitation Project

The District of Stewart has received funding for a cost-sharing agreement with the Government of Canada and the Province of BC under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund for  “Stewart Wastewater Rehabilitation Project.”  The total funding amount received was $969,000, for a total project budget of $1,140,000.

The project will involve various elements of the system targeted at improving overall function including upgrades to the primary lift station, inspection and repair of sewer lines, inspection and repair of hydrants and installation of flow measurement equipment.
