Al Lawrence Memorial Arena

The District of Stewart Al Lawrence Memorial Arena underwent a complete renovation and expansion in 2009-2010.  The Arena contains ice rink, a large multi-purpose hall, a meeting room, and canteen. 

If you are interested in renting the Arena for skating, or the Hall for your special event, please call the District of Stewart at (250) 636-2251

General Facility Policies

  • No running around, roller blading or playing hockey off ice.
  • Youth are not permitted in the locker rooms without adult supervision.
  • Children should not play in the lockers or stand on top of the benches.
  • Individuals and groups are expected to clean-up after themselves.
  • Parents/guardians are 100% responsible for their children while at the Al Lawrence Memorial Arena
  • Do not leave your children unattended
  • Should your child need to leave the ice for any reason during a lesson, it is the parent’s responsibility to attend to their child.

Lately the District of Stewart has issued few times a boil water advisory.  It's strictly a precautionary measure due power outage. Without power  water pressure at our pump declined below established level. A loss in pressure can result in contamination entering the drinking water distribution system from surrounding soil and groundwater (to read more click heading)
